End of January, the expo halls in Paris (France) always gather lots of people who's intrest go to vintage cars, and all that has something to do with it.
This year probably the main attraction, or at least the most talked about, was the Bonhams auction of a Bugatti Type 22 Brescia, which was discovered in an italian lake. After he car had been pulled out of the water, the car seemed to be very deteriorated. Nevertheless, it was auctioned and hammered at a price of 260.500 Euro. It was bought by Peter Mullin, past president of the American Bugatti Club and chairman of The Mullin Automotive Museum in Oxnard , California. It is told that the car will be displayed in the museum without restoration, so anyone can see exactly how it was uncovered from the lakebed of Lago Magiore.
But of course , we aircooled pistonheads want to see the Zuffenhausen cars. Exactly as a few weeks ago in the Maastricht show, both asking price and the price paid for Porsches remain high... As you can see on the pictures, lots of Porsches in the french capital.
