The Retromobile vintage car show has become an event one has to visit over the years. First of all, it's one of the first major vintage car events of the season , second they succeed in bringing together great cars in the Paris Expo.
One shouldn't be too surprised to see lots of vintage French cars at the show. After all, we're in the capital of France, and some beauties have been produced in the country of wine and cheese. So it's nu surprise at all to see Citroen, Renault, Peugeot and other Simca's play a major role in the show.
However, if you're not that much into the French car connection, there's still lots of reasons to visit Retromobile as they're over 400 cars exposed by 300 exhibitors , and near 100.000 visitors during the 5 day event.
This years absolute highlight in my opinion was the ROFGO Gulf Collection. The collection only has cars in it, that once raced for the Gulf Team. The collection has been brought together in no more than 2 years, and is really stunning. How about a Porsche 917, Porsche 908/3, Porsche Kremer K8, 2 Mirage, 3 Mc Laren, 1 Aston Martin, a Ford GT40, a Brabham and so on. Just an astonishing collection and I'm just hoping there will be an occasion to see these cars back on the track as that would be a wonderfull line up.
Anyway, enjoy this first load of pictures, soon I'll bring you more.
