Marco Marinello, the Swiss Porsche specialist, and Paul-Ernst Strähle Jr. , son of late Paul-Ernst Strähle started in 2004 with a swap meet, at the premises of a garage in Plüderhausen.
From the first year on, the swap meet was a big succes, and was continued over the years. Just a few years after the both Porsche aficioados started the swap-meet , the garage became too small to host the increasing number of visitors and exhibitors. So they moved to Schorndorf, a pretty nice place to visit, with several typical Schwabisch-Gmund style houses, farms and barns.
Saturday November 12, the environment of the 'Galerie fur Kunst und Technik' will be invaded by lots of Porsches, their drivers and ofcourse many other enthusiasts.
Next to an ideal place to find a piece of literature that you miss in your collection, one or another mechanical piece to complete a restoration, the event is a gathering of friends and passionates. Visitors from all over Europe, some even as far from the USA, join the party. And most of them come with the olympic thougts in mind. It's not all about finding that one item, it's about meeting friends you didn't see for a long time, learning to know people with the same passion..
And I haven't mentioned yet, each year the show is visited by people who are really important in Porsche history, like Herbert Linge, Peter Falk, Hanz Mezger and many more...
I'll be there, and I hope to see you guys there !!!
